History of American Combato
Jen-Do-Tao
American Combato (Jen•Do•Tao)™ is a comprehensive, in-depth self0defense training system. It draws upon a rich tradition of techniques taught by WWII close combat experts and others including William Fairbairn, Rex Applegate, Anthony Biddle, Charles Nelson, and Jack Dempsey.
While training without weapons is central to the system, it also includes mastery of handguns, shotguns, knives, sticks, and unconventional improvise weaponry, i.e. what you have on hand.
Mental conditioning also played a key part in the systems development: mastering and appreciating fear, learning the appropriate mindset, being aware of your surroundings, avoiding violence, and responding to violence immediately, when necessary, with no hesitation.
Hypnosis is very effective in achieving optimal mental conditioning. Hypnosis training was developed by Bradley J. Steiner and audio sessions will be available as part of your monthly subscription.
Mark Brians began training in the American Combato System (Jen-Do-Tao) in 1979. He was the first person to receive a black belt rating in the system in 1990. Professor Bryans is currently the highest ranked practitioner of the art at a 9th degree black belt.
